The Harrison Room: Named
after the famed Newport architect, Peter
Harrison, this gracious first floor bedroom
features detailed period paneling and a
Robert Adam mantel. It is beautifully
appointed with a queen size canopy tester
bed, shaker style furniture, and camel back
sofa. The spacious private bathroom has a

The
Durfee Room: The Empire-style, ornately carved
four-poster queen size bedstead is the focal point
of this handsome room. Classic dark mahogany
furnishings and detailed period paneling take you
back to an era of luxurious living. This room at the
front of the house, has been named for the original
owner of the house, Samuel Durfee. The private
bathroom with shower is appointed with a separate
vanity area. |

The Ida Lewis Room: This stunning room
features a queen size mahogany four-poster rice
bedstead and has been named after the famous Newport
lighthouse keeper, Ida Lewis. The private deck, a
perfect retreat for morning coffee and afternoon
relaxation, overlooks the rear garden and carriage
house. The bright private bathroom has a pedestal

The Doris Duke Room: The Chinese
Chippendale furniture featuring two twin beds and
oriental accents reflects Newport's famous heiress,
Doris Duke, and her appreciation for the orient and
fine furniture. Enjoy a view of the harbor and
Newport's sunsets as you look out over Spring
Street. The private bathroom is comprised of a

For your convenience, in room amenities include hair
dryers, iron and ironing board, CD player/radio, and robes.
For a more relaxing stay and in trying to keep with the feel
of our 200 year old house, our rooms do not have telephones
or televisions. There is a television, telephone, and small
refrigerator in our guest sitting room for your use. All of
our rooms can only accommodate two people. |
